ESTs on Chromosome:
What's Emap?
Emap is EST map. (details are shown below.)

Construction of Emap
The ESTs were mapped onto the rice chromosomes using the BLASTN program by searching for homologous genomic sequences with known chromosomal locations (Chen et al. 2002) in the TIGR Rice Genome Database of Pseudomolecules (Version 2) (http://www.tigr.org/tdb/e2k1/osa1/) using a stringent criterion of sequence alignment. By this threshold, the two matched sequences had the sequence identity ranging from 80% to 100% with an average of 91% in this study. The latest molecular linkage map (JRGP RFLP 2000) of rice containing 3267 RFLP markers (http://rgp.dna.affrc.go.jp/publicdata/geneticmap2000/index.html) was used as the framework map for mapping the ESTs.
